Inputs

The help for this page of the Version 2 transmitter, in its newest words. A transmitter on V2 B92 or older shows older words.

On the transmitter: Model setupInputs

Choose what moves each channel, give it a name, and choose the receiver output it goes to.
Touch a number or a name to change it.
'OK' keeps the changes and goes back to 'Model setup'.
With the model connected, you are asked first:
changes here move its controls.

The Inputs page: for each of the 16 channels, its input, its name and its output
The page as the transmitter shows it. Tap to enlarge.

In: the stick, switch or knob that moves this channel.
Name: the channel's name (up to 10 letters).
Other pages show it too.
Out: the receiver output this channel goes to.
Trim out: which channels each trim moves (see TRIMS).

By default each channel takes the input and the output of its own number. This is Futaba's order (AETR).

Inputs

1 = aileron stick, 2 = elevator stick, 3 = throttle stick, 4 = rudder stick, in Mode 1 and Mode 2 alike.
5 to 8 = the front switches or knobs.
9 to 16 have no stick or knob of their own.

To use input 9 to 16, give a switch the job 'Channel 9' (and so on): 'Transmitter setup', 'Switches'.
That switch is then input 9, for any channel to take as its In.
(If you renamed channel 9, the job shows its name instead.)
A switch given the job 'Channel 5' to 'Channel 8' takes the place of that front switch or knob.
The top-edge switches often have other jobs:
banks, motor, safety, rates or buddy.
Channels 9 to 16 are also useful for mixes.

One input may move several channels (two aileron servos, say).
Each of them can be reversed on its own.

Outputs

Each Out number may be used only once.
If two channels share one, every Out number goes back to 1 to 16 when you press 'OK'.
To move a channel to another output, swap two Out numbers:
for example Ch 4 Out 5 and Ch 5 Out 4.
Swap in pairs only. Three or more moved round in a ring do not go where their Out numbers say.
To move one output from two controls, use a mix ('Mixes').

To check which channel moves, watch the 'Channels' page while you move a stick, switch or knob.

Trims

Most models keep the Trim out numbers at 1, 2, 3, 4.
Tr1: horizontal trim, under the aileron stick.
Tr2: left vertical trim; Mode 1 elevator, Mode 2 throttle.
Tr3: right vertical trim; Mode 1 throttle, Mode 2 elevator.
Tr4: horizontal trim, under the rudder stick.
A trim moves every channel whose In is its Trim out number, so two aileron servos both take the aileron trim.
(In Mode 2, Trim out 2 acts on In 3, and 3 acts on In 2.)
For example, set Tr1 to 14:
the aileron trim then moves channel 14 instead.
Its step is the 'Trim multiplier' ('Model setup', 'Options').

After any change here, TEST ON THE GROUND before flying!
