Your own front screens
The help for this page of the Version 2 transmitter, in its newest words. A transmitter on V2 B92 or older shows older words.
On the transmitter: Front screenDefined screens
Your own front screen (a defined front screen): big, clear numbers while you fly.
The top line shows the model's name and the bank.
Buttons
'Transmitter' and 'Model' open the setups.
'Original screen' shows the original front screen.
Its 'Defined screens' button brings this one back.
Your choice stays through take-offs, landings and switching off, until you press the other button.
The tabs 1 to 6 (top right) switch between your six screens at a touch, even in flight. The yellow tab is the one in use.
To change a box from here
On the ground, press and hold the box for two full seconds.
Its chooser opens. Your choice brings this screen straight back.
A tap or a slide does nothing.
(On the ground means the safety is on. With no safety switch, it means the motor is off.)
Warning colours
A box turns amber or red, with a white frame, when its value needs a look:
- Battery: amber at 40 per cent or less, red at 20 or less.
- Link: amber below 75 per cent, red below 50.
- ESC temperature: amber from 80 degrees, red from 95.
The top line turns red for BATTERY LOW, or for NO LINK in flight (the Link box then says LOST).
What the boxes show
A battery box: the voltage per cell, big; under it, the total voltage and the per cent.
A box shows -- when there is nothing to show. Its small line says 'no model' on the ground, or 'no link' in flight.
Head speed, current, capacity used and ESC temperature need Rotorflight.
A Motor box takes the safety's colours, as the original front screen's Motor box does.
While you hold the power button to switch off, the original front screen shows, with its countdown.
To design the screens
Transmitter setup / 'Appearance' / 'Defined front screens'.
There you choose what each box shows, the box sizes and the box themes, for each of the six screens.
For the time of day, give a box the 'Clock'.
